Why do we not follow through on goal setting

I have written goal plans Many times and after a week or so stopped doing the actions necessary to succeed on my goals.

WHY IS THIS?



The number one reason why people do not follow through on achieving goals is a big enough WHY. We need to get disturbed and be honest what in our past holds us back something prevents us taking action this is when we use
excuses or stories what stories do you use hear is some of the things people say.

* I will do it tomorrow. I do not have time.
* It will not work. I do not believe in it. 
* It is to hard. I am to tired.

And the list goes on.

The number two reason people do not follow through on goal setting they get stressed out trying to juggle to many things at work keeping the boss happy meeting dead lines, family and children, keeping up with the Jones in debt, this makes us fearful and we look for an escape. We use alcohol,
cigarettes, drugs, over eating, coffee, hundreds of tv channels, the internet, mobile phones.

So how do we find out what prevents us following through visit your past and find some unpleasant experiences and get upset this is a really good exercise and simple to do take out a couple sheets of paper and write down what do you get upset about from your past and do some thing that upsets you if you are in debt gather all your loans, credit card
statements and add up how much you owe this will make you see how bad it really is.

Getting disturbed will make you take action.

How did that feel painful I hope getting disturbed will make you take action now we have got to convert this into positive action how do we do that use motion to change your emotion the way we use our physical body the best way exercise.

Now you have got disturbed you have to decide what do you want for your life writing down a massive action plan and schedule time when you can work on your goals makes it real and commits you to achieving the success you want.

Now add in a five day plan for exercising and eating a health balance diet with fresh fruit and water and make time for what I call your golden hour start with a warm up to your exercise routine spend ten minuets being thankful for your life and family I will let you think of your own
reasons.

For the next 5-10 minuets learn some breathing techniques breath in for 10 seconds hold your breath for 40 seconds then exhale for 20 seconds what this does is helps keep your immune system working helping you to stay health I recommend 5 to start then build it up to 10.

Next do your exercise for about 30 minuets at first you may find it difficult but after a few days your body will start to get used to it and as you do your exercise (which can be running cycling swimming what ever you are comfortable with) as you exercise work up a sweat but not so it burns you out.

The next part mite sound daft but do incantations which is just speaking or chanting out your goal this has a tremendous effect in helping you achieve your goals then warm down for the last 10 minuets and think of the magic moments of the last week just doing your exercise will give
you a sense of pride.

You may want to start your exercise routine slowly and build up to the golden hour if you have health issues please consult your doctor.

Another use full thing to do is to use a journal or diary and write down your experiences how were you feeling this is the way to judge if you are moving towards your goal.

What ever you make a must will happen if its a should it will not happen so please commit to doing your golden hour five of the seven days for 30 days and you will start to enjoy yourself. 

Then do it for another 30 days this will then become a habit you will do for the rest of your life but do not kill your dreams live with joy and happiness.
